Good Afternoon,

It was great seeing parents at the meeting today. If you were not able to attend, I have attached two PDFs to the email on the volunteer roles as well as a swim meet breakdown with what to expect and helpful items to bring. I have also attached a PDF of our meet schedule. Race sign ups are open for our first meet!

The big update is that all meets will now start at 8am. Lori, the head of aquatics, decided to combine the morning and mid day meet to help all families get out closer to noon rather than going later into the afternoon and having two sets of setup/cleanup. Hopefully this is a welcome change for most families. I have updated our calendar on Swimtopia to reflect this and I will include the meet breakdown below along with the PDF attachment. Because all teams will swim at 8am, this also means we no longer have a bye week. If you weren't planning to swim June 27th, don't sweat it, but for kids who do want to swim that week we now have a meet. 

For relays, if we don't have enough swimmers in an age category, we will combine with another Castle Rock team for the relays so that all swimmers who want to experience a relay can. (This mostly applies to our 9-10 boys and 11-12 boys)

Additionally, the parents/family fun meet is set for July 22nd at 6pm at Butterfield. This is a fun meet for parents, siblings, family, and friends to race alongside our swimmers. Coaches will also be racing with the kids. 

Lastly, for 11-12 parents would you be interested in starting at 5pm and going until 6:15pm rather than 5:15pm-6:30pm? We now have 5 lanes to utilize for our swimmers rather than 3, so Coach Emily wanted to take a vote on if this would be a welcomed change or not. Feel free to email your thoughts or speak with us at practice.
